She was born in Arhavi, Artvin. She graduated from Uludağ University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of Economics. After retiring from the banking sector, she started photography with the basic training she received at Ataşehir Environment and Culture Association. She took part in documentary works and short film projects. She is working on documentary projects on gender, human rights and environmental awareness.
She is a member of ANAFOD, Varız Buradayız Initiative and Group Zoneproject and currently produces contemporary editorial photography for Depo Photos.
